Hi, I'm

Ariel

a millennial therapist, former teacher, and lifelong learner who helps adults find peace during life’s transitions.

about me

I’m a millennial therapist, former teacher, and lifelong learner who believes that peace isn’t about perfection, it’s about finding calm and clarity, even when life feels uncertain.

I started Peace Place Therapy because I truly believe part of my purpose is to help others find their own peace. My clients and colleagues often describe me as calming, grounded, and easy to talk to. I see therapy as a space where you can show up fully, messy emotions, overthinking, and all, and still feel seen and supported.

I know how much courage it takes to reach out for help, and I’m honored that you’re considering me. My therapy room (even the virtual one) is a judgment-free zone. It’s a place where you can be fully yourself, where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as we figure things out together.

Ariel - The PErson

I’m a thirty-something millennial living in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with my husban. I’m a self-proclaimed recovering perfectionist — a lifelong project. I also know and enjoy a wide variety of music styles. I am a Christian, but I cuss a lot  a little.

When I’m not working, you can usually find me on TikTok (where my FYP is equal parts mental health, 90s/00s nostalgia, and British period drama), reading a novel, or listening to music that spans every genre.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d be honored to help you find your own version of peace.

You don’t need to have it all together to start — you just need a safe place to begin.

My Journey: From Burnout to Balance

My path to becoming a therapist wasn’t exactly a straight line. I started my career as a public school music teacher. I loved my students, but after five years, I realized the path I was on was no longer serving me. As a “recovering perfectionist,” I was trying to do everything right, but it was leading straight to burnout. I knew I needed to make my own life transition. Changing careers taught me that peace is possible, even after chaos.

I decided to go back to school to find a career that could provide me with more peace and less stress, so I could help others do the same. That journey is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping Gen Z navigate the start of adulthood and supporting fellow Millennials who feel stuck or overwhelmed. I’ve been there.

Ariel - The Therapist

My colleagues and clients often say I have a calming presence, and my first goal is always to create a relationship where you feel genuinely comfortable. From there, our work is a partnership.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, which means I tailor our sessions to you, using what works best for your personality and your goals. We’ll likely draw from:

  • Person-Centered Therapy, which means I see you as the expert on your own life. You set the pace.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), to help us make peace with difficult thoughts and feelings and focus on what truly matters to you.

And because words aren’t always enough, I have other options. As a Board-Certified Music Therapist and a Registered Yoga Teacher, we can use music or gentle movement to connect with your emotions and release stress stored in your body.
